GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Iris pseudacorus, the yellow flag, yellow iris, or water flag, is a species of flowering plant in the family Iridaceae.
  • It is native to Europe, western Asia, and northwest Africa.
  • You can fill the water in the vase and submerge the pot with water.

SOIL REQUIREMENT

  • It prefers an acid pH, in loam or clay-based soil in a sheltered or exposed location facing any aspect and will also prefer waterlogged conditions.
  • Ecologically, Iris pseudacorus will cater to pollinating insects such as bees.
