GENERAL INFORMATION
- Elephant Bush or Portulacaria afra is a bushy succulent shrub belonging to the Didiereaceae family.
 - Portulacaria afra ‘Variegata’ (Rainbow Bush) is a form of the South African “Elephant Bush”.
 - Portulacaria makes a great hanging basket, gracefully cascading along some rocks on a walkway, bonsai style, or a desert vivarium.
 - These succulents commonly have a reddish stem and leaves that are green, but also a variegated cultivar is often seen in cultivation.
