GENERAL INFORMATION
- Commonly known as Ficus Altissima or Asian Council Tree.
- Easily maintained as a potted plant by occasional grooming of the branches and aerial roots.
- Ficus has been shown to effectively remove gaseous formaldehyde from indoor air.
- The large leaves on the Ficus Altissima Golden Gem are a little like rubber plant which has wonderfully pale green veins that show up beautifully against the different shades of emerald of the leaf.
SOIL REQUIREMENT
- It enjoys a well-drained, general potting mix easily found at your local box store.
- Remember try to stay away from arid or wet, mucky soils.

FEEDING/FERTILIZER REQUIREMENT
- To help establish your new Asian Council Tree, fertilize sparingly ten inches away from the base, tri-annually with a slow time-released product.
- Unfertilized they will tend to grow at a slower pace.
LIGHT REQUIREMENT
- Medium Shade, Partial Shade, Partial Sun.
WATER REQUIREMENT
- Water thoroughly once per week and allow excess water to run out the drainage holes in the nursery pot or whichever vessel you transplant into, however, avoid overwatering.
- Water moderately.
