GENERAL INFORMATION

• Laying gravels/pebbles over soil makes sure the soil doesn't get eroded by rain or damaged from over-exposure to sunlight.
• Aesthetically pleasing and easier to maintain.
• The permeability of gravel makes it an excellent choice for driveways and garden paths, allowing water to drain and preventing pooling. 
• Different sizes and colors of gravel are used to enhance the aesthetics of garden beds, walkways, and outdoor seating areas. 
• Gravel can be used in place of organic mulch to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture, as noted by Coastal Landscape. 
• It is used around water features for decorative purpose. 
• In some cases, gravel can improve soil drainage in fields and can be used to create stable surfaces in animal enclosures.
