LIGHT REQUIREMENT

  • McDowell prefers indirect, bright light. You can also use artificial lamps to make it grow faster. Never keep it in direct sunlight, as this plant cannot tolerate it and strong sunlight can scorch the leaves.

WATER REQUIREMENT

  • When growing philodendron plants, allow the top inch or two of soil to dry out between waterings.
  • The length of your index finger to the first knuckle is about an inch, so inserting your finger into the soil is a good way to check the moisture level.
