GENERAL INFORMATION

Toyama Hamono handmade (forged) pruning scissors are designed for general garden use, ideal for pruning small branches, twigs, roses, flower and houseplants.

These scissors are known for their sharp, slender blades and compact size, making them ideal for precision work, great for tight spaces within Bonsai plants. These are hand-made (forged) small scissors.

The blade has a distinctive chamfered edge that makes it easy to get into the gaps between plants. (The blade can get into the gaps without damaging the plants.)

Razor sharp and perfect for cutting plants. All processes are done by hand.

  • Each piece is hand forged and sharpened using traditional methods. As such, each tool has its own variations and irregularity. They are handmade in Japan.

HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS

  • The maximum cutting capacity of this product is for wood with a diameter of up to 5mm.
  • A superb tool for trimming bonsai, cutting small branches, roses and flowers in the garden.
  • Please note that cutting anything other than plants or using it in an improper manner may cause damage.
  • Not suitable for cutting artificial flowers, wire, bamboo or thick stem shrubs.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • These scissors are made with high carbon steel tools.
  • They can rust if not cared for properly. We recommend wiping off any dirt on the main body (especially the blade) and storing it in a toolbox or indoors. When wiping off dirt, use knife oil (sewing machine oil is also fine) to protect the main body and make it less likely to rust.
