GENERAL INFORMATION

• Originating in the Philippines, a tropical plant with long pink hanging flower sprays with canopies of large leaves. Sometimes called "Rose Grape", "Philipinne Orchid", "Pink Lantern plant" or "Chandelier tree", Medinilla magnifica is a small evergreen shrub native to the Philippines where it is usually found growing on trees in tropical forests.

LIGHT REQUIREMENT

• These plants require bright light but should be shaded from the hottest sun with a good level of humidity and air circulation is crucial.

WATER REQUIREMENT

• Water well enough to thoroughly moisten compost during the growing season, allowing the top of the compost to dry 2cm down before repeating.
