GENERAL INFORMATION
- Iresine is a genus of flowering plants in the family Amaranthaceae.
- It contains 20 to 25 species, all of which are native to the American tropics.
- The generic name is derived from the Greek word εριος, meaning "wooly", referring to the trichome-covered flowers.

FEEDING/FERTILIZER REQUIREMENT
- Feed every 2 weeks spring through fall with a balanced water-soluble fertilizer.
LIGHT REQUIREMENT
- Full Sun, partial shade.
WATER REQUIREMENT
- Keep the potting mix moist in spring and summer by watering when the soil feels dry at a depth of about an inch (3 cm.).
- Add water until it runs from the drainage holes in the bottom of the pot.
